Where Can You Find Truth?

Truth is something that we always look for and is what we want to be exposed to, because truth is a verified and an indisputable fact. For that reason we have court justices that try their best to fight for truth. Many times though, we don’t know exactly if the piece of information that we hear is factual or not, thus it is very hard to except it in our hearts and lives.
A prime example could be the media that we are exposed to on a day to day basis. I say that because the political sphere has a tremendous impact on the media, therefore they can practically shape our mentality and the way we think. If you are skeptical about that statement you can do a simple test for yourself. Pick an issue in the news, and look it up in two media sources. Let one of them be influenced more from the left-wing liberals, like msnbc, and compare the information you have found there with a media source that is influenced by the right-wing conservatives, like fox news. You will be shocked with the differences in perspectives and view points that people are exposed to. This tells us that it’s not that simple to find truth.
Understanding the fact that it is problematic to find truth, we can not become discouraged in our scavenger hunt so quickly. When we turn to The Bible and open The Gospel according to John chapter 14 verse 6, Jesus says “I AM THE WAY AND THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.” Here we find a very powerful statement by Jesus. We discover that the source of all truth is only found in Jesus Christ because He is the Lord of all creation and He controls the whole universe. Also the Bible makes it clear that the Word of God is true and gives life to those who strive to live by it.
It is clear that this secular world that we live in lacks truth and constantly faces deceit. Jesus left us The Bible which is full of truths that we can extract and implement in our lives daily. Let’s be caring for the things we expose ourselves to, because there is a famous quote that says “Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you who you are” said by a French doctor Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. If we will accept the mendacity and corruption by not striving for truth, then our life will be unsuccessful because our foundation will be weak. Jesus explicitly explained that in The Gospel according to Luke chapter 6, verses 46 to 49 by saying, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”
Having your foundation on the Word of God, The Bible, and Jesus Christ you will be overfilled with the truth that you were striving for in your life. Many people have tried to find truth elsewhere put their hopes where lost quickly. Don’t wait, just accept Jesus in your life and you will be blessed by Him.

  1. Amen! That's why we as Christians should dig deep into the Word of God and gain Godly knowledge and Wisdom. More God, less worldly artifacts.

  2. Ameen brother :)I completely agree with you. It's very crucial to have the Word of God as the foundation in every aspect of our life so that we live for the glory of God through every single deed and thought.
